We are getting ready to kick-off our new 2009/2010 season.
Auditions for our first show are on Monday, October 26 at 6pm in the Theatersaal at the Mensa. This show will be a similar format to last year’s An Evening of Scenes. This time around though, each of the pieces is by the same playwright, David Ives.
Within the next few weeks, we will be posting more information about the show and the cast and crew. Check back in soon for more updates!

An Evening of Scenes closed on Friday, 6 February. This format was a completely new concept for ACT and we were not sure what kind of audience response we would have–particularly since the production was smack dab in the middle of everyone’s “exam cram” week!
Needless to say, the show was a hit! It was great hearing from numerous people how much they enjoyed the format, acting, music, and how the evening was “packaged and presented.” Furthermore, the cast and crew really put on top notch performances–what more could you ask for?
Thanks again to everyone who helped to make this production a success. We could not have done it without you!
Clearly it has been far too long since the last time ACT has blogged something. I can assure you that the reason for the lack-of-blogging is NOT because we have not been doing anything!
We are currently rehearsing two, yes two, shows at once. (Anyone hearing screams of desperation from Laurel and/or Sven now knows why!).
We have A LOT of new faces and some veterans returning to the stage. Our first all day rehearsal for the Evening of Scenes is on Saturday, January 10th. The Importance of Being Earnest is also shaping up too–we now have the fight scene choreographed! For those of you wondering–yes there is a fight scene in Earnest…at least there is now.
Hopefully we will be able to keep the blog a wee bit more current–consider it a New Year’s Resolution!
