Future Plans

Lots has happened in the last few weeks…We can hardly believe it!

First of all, we had another outstanding performance and wonderful audience at out encore of “All in the Timing” at the first International Student Theatre Festival. Thanks to everyone who came out to support us and to everyone who helped out on the show.

Secondly, we have a new home! That is right, the Theatersaal at Uni is now completely renovated for rehearsals and performances. While using the Aula was great, we are excited to be returning to our true “home” at the Theatersaal.

Thirdly, we have a brand new website–thanks to our webmaster, Achim the Wonderful. Check it out!

Lastly, auditions are coming up–can you believe it is already time for them again? We are hoping to have them in July, before the semester ends. Please check back for the exact date and time. We will also put up some posters around campus too.

Now is the perfect time to get involved with ACT. We are always on the look out for new members. If you are interested, please take a moment to send us an email–it only takes a minute!

It is hard to believe that ACT’s performance run of The Mousetrap has ended.  Our final performance started approximately 10 minutes late because of the overwhelming crowd of people waiting to purchase their tickets at the Box Office.  A very big thanks to Leigh, Mirren, and Achim who helped add several rows of chairs for all the unexpected walk-ins!

On behalf of the cast and crew of ACT, thank you to all who came and saw the show!  We hope to see you at the theatre festival this June, hosted by Uni’s KWT.  Stay tuned for more information on this event!

The University is interested in a theatre festival. They have asked all active drama groups on campus to participate. Los Mutantes is already in the process of organizing a festival for Spanish speaking groups in April this year. ACT is about to make contact with another theatre group, which, according to university guidelines, must be domiciled at a university within the boundaries of a Greater European Region. In our case that would include the state of Saarland, parts of the Rhineland-Palatinate, Lorraine, Luxembourg and Eastern Belgium.
